A very engaged advocate of the community, Sanders is an active member of First Baptist Church of Troy, and he has been involved in numerous committees, boards and fundraising events throughout his career. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees at Pike Liberal Arts School, where he served as the chairman of the Health and Safety Committee. He has served on the Pike Medical Foundation board for the past several months.
Rick Smith, Troy Regional CEO, said, “We are very fortunate to have Walt join us with his strong connections in our community and his extensive healthcare experience. We are excited for him to get out into this community and the surrounding areas as a representative for Troy Regional, helping us grow and make our services even better.”
