I’m giving this place 5stars because it really gets so much bad backlash but Sunday night i had to go Nurse Erica and Nurse Chelsei really helped me through my experience that treated me like they really care about their job and reassured me that iI and everything was going to be ok. I came to the Troy Regional Medical Center Emergency Department a few days ago in severe abdominal pain. Dr. Robledo, and every nurse I came into contact with was very kind, personable, informative, and professional. I am extremely satisfied with the care I received. On Tuesday, our Pulmonary/Lung Transplant Physician told us to go to local Emergency Room for tests and X-rays and they would talk to ER Doctor to see if we needed to go to Birmingham. The Receptionist, the Nurses, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology and Doctor were exceptional. They were so attentive and thorough with testing and then called Birmingham to work out the plan of care. Arrived at Emergency room, and my grandson was taken back within 5 minutes. His intake nurse, Krista, was so attentive, gentle, and oh so caring. He was so scared of getting stitches, but everyone was reassuring him no needles unless they were needed. He thought there were race cars in the CAT scan machine. I recently had a pulmonary function test performed. Eveyone was caring and kind. Checkin was fast and courteous. Pam explained my procedure thoroughly and was supportive throughout the process. I was 800 miles from home when I had a medical emergency. I was in the ER at TRMC for 4-5 hours where everyone treated me professionally and compassionately. I was then moved to the third floor for another 9 hours of observation. Again, professionalism and compassion. I had wonderful patient service from my appointment with Dr. Gill and staff at his office, to arriving for my pre-screening where the lady on the 1st floor escorting me to the 2nd floor after asking for help even the maintenance guy on the elevator was very nice and cordial, to my pre-screening appointment with the nice nurse. The day of my procedure the nice staff greeted me and directed me to my room with instructions. The 2 nurses who came in my room to get me set up were so nice and made me feel comfortable( I enjoyed them) The lady who came and transported me to surgery waiting area where it was so cold made sure I was comfortable with warm blankets, to the OR staff who were very accommodating to me, to the CRNA who was very nice and very good at what he does because I don’t remember anything else(awesome) until the nice nurse woke me up and escorted me back to my room,(found out we had some same work history)to Dr.Gill doing an awesome job at what he does best,(he knew I was so nervous)and to my exit, I think I was seen off really nice by everybody except the OR team because they were in the OR.😁I didn’t want to forget anybody so excuse my long review. I took a hard fall in Montgomery and did not feel comfortable at any of the ER’s….so I drove home and went to TRMC. Staff was courteous and professional….XRays and CT were quick and efficient….start to discharge time was more than reasonable (compared to what it would have been in Montgomery). BEST medical experience ever!! Our family was in town for an event for the weekend and my 14 year old son cut his hand with a pocket knife. We went to the ER around midnight. This place was absolutely amazing. I have been trying to get my tonsils removed for about 3-4 years. I finally got a referral to the Troy Regional Medical Center and the doctor immediately said the best way to fix my tonsil issues was to rip them out. The PCTs and nurses were so kind, answered any questions, and got me scheduled for the surgery for the following week which was so fast and convenient. The day prior to my surgery, the lady that called me on the surgery floor, Miss Kathy, was absolutely so sweet and so adorable. She gave me very thorough instructions and answered any questions I had. I came the day of my surgery and everyone was so so sweet from the front desk lady on the first floor to everyone on the surgery floor. The lady that stuck me with the IV fluid was also absolutely amazing and so so kind. Everyone was so sweet and welcoming. After working in a hospital myself and sometimes seeing that some people work the hospital for status rather than genuine care for people, every single person I came across and interacted with I could tell cared deeply about their patients. 20/10 recommend this place!Patient Submitted Review

On Tuesday 9/17 I had to be seen at the ER for a kidney stone attack. Although the ER was busier than I have ever seen it the ER nursing staff were incredibly concerned and took really good care of me. They made things happen even though they were slammed. They got me in a CT scan right away and before you know I was in a triage room getting fluids. I felt like my health concerns were their priority and getting my pain under control was important. I was grateful for them giving me my treatment in the triage area due to the lack of bed space. Dr. Simmons was great! It was the first time I have been treated by him in the 7 years my family has lived in Troy and I have to say he was great! I’ve always heard things about our local hospital and the quality of care you receive but I can honestly say that our regional hospital is top notch! I have lived in Columbus Georgia as well as Auburn Alabama and would prefer to come to the Troy Hospital because of the hometown feeling. The staff at Troy Regional's ED made my 9-year-old's visit almost *too* enjoyable. They kept her calm and comfortable, ensuring she was aware of what was coming next, and even offering ice cream when she became restless during the wait. I dont know if i cameon a slow night or what, but i went the er around 1 am because i was havign stroke like symptoms 6 weeks postpartum. I was taken to the back within 5 minutesof registations, blood pressure checked, urine test done, and a ct scan done within the span of 20 minutes. Everyone was friendly and treated me like a person even as the symptoms subsided. They waited for my blood pressure to lower before they released me and recommended i go see my obgyn asap since my symptoms went away. The staff was very good with my mother who has dementia. They were patient and took their time with getting her blood to putting in a foley for urine. There also were nursing students that day, and i wouldn't have known the difference If i wasn't in the medical profession myself. Even tho I can't remember everyone's name, I'm sure it would be easy to look back at her chart to see who all was involved in her assessment process. Everyone from the ED Doc, ED nurse, nurse students, and the radiology tech that took her to ct to the staff that wheeled her to the car was outstanding 👏🏾 security and staff from surgery also assisted when we arrived to help get her to the er. While visiting Family in Troy AL, my husband fell and was transported by ambulance to Troy Regional Hospital. Our care in the emergency room was excellent. As it turned out, my husband had a broken hip. My Niece, a former OT in the area, recommended Dr. Robert Liljeberg, as an excellent surgeon to perform the surgery. I loved Dr. Liljeberg bedside manner and the fact that he stopped in twice on the weekend to check on my husband was definitely a plus! Thanks to Dr. Liljeberg and his staff! Thanks to the entire staff involved with our care, the Nurses, PCTs, Physical Therapists, and to Ms. Pyron, case worker, for arranging the transfer of my husband from Troy to Ft. Walton Bch, FL. We had to visit the ER over the Thanksgiving holiday. What we experienced was nothing excellent service and efficient care. The admittance process was quick and efficient. We were called back to a room in five minutes. We were diagnosed x-rayed and taken care of in 30 minutes from time of arrival the entire visit was nothing more than perfect. I’ve heard a lot of bad things about going there here, and was super iffy about it myself, but when I had to go Sunday I can say that they treated me probably better than hospitals back home would have. I was super sick and my right side was hurting so I thought it was my appendix, and when the doctor in the ER said the CT was clean, I was scared they were going to release me and not find out why I was still in so much pain. I did have to advocate for myself a little bit but I’m very thankful that they admitted me, because Monday they told me I had to have emergency surgery on my gallbladder on Tuesday. I’m not from troy, I’m only here for school and I had no family in the area, so I’m super thankful for the doctors and especially the nurses and PCTs (Heather, Pearl, Victorian, Jocelyn , Phillip and a few others)for taking extra time to make sure I was ok and in good spirits. I’m also super thankful that Dr. Gill let my mom stay with me in my room. I was released yesterday and am back home, but over all I’m just super thankful😊Patient Submitted Review

I came the ER with my mom after work on Feb 12 she was very very sick. I was impressed from triage thru discharge with the service that the ER staff provided her. Our stay began at the end of first shift and spilled over into the second shift. The physician and nursing staff on second shift were just awesome. They made her feel comfortable and cared for, they made her laugh even though she felt like crying. I watched the 3 nurses involved in her care come in and show me what team work looks like. My son was bit by a snake over the weekend. We were not sure what kind or how severe it was, I called the ER on the way to the hospital to them know what had occurred and that we were on the way. As soon as I carried my son in, they were waiting on him with the doors open. The nurses and doctor instantly came in and started working on him. He was scared of the head lamp visor the doctor was wearing so Dr. Schloemer let him wear it which eased his worry! I visited Troy Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room following a recent accident, and I left very impressed. The registration person was very friendly and I only waited about 2 minutes after registration to be taken to the back. My nurse was attentive, took time to explain everything she did, and always asked if I had any questions. The doctor (Dr. Veppa) told me everything he was going to do, why he was doing it, and also asked me if I had any questions. The radiology tech was nice as well. Some say bigger is better....but I totally disagree when it comes to healthcare! My mom had back surgery a few weeks ago in a large facility in another town. The care she received there was less than adequate which led to her being discharged home too early. The next day I took her to Troy Regional Medical Center ER where she received immediate outstanding care. She was admitted to 3rd floor & later transferred to the hospital’s Swing Bed Program for rehab. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the exceptional care she received at Troy Regional Medical Center! Everyone was phenomenal...from her sweet housekeepers to the Chief Nursing Officer!
